Bioware‘s first foray into next generation gaming recently hit both virtual and physical stores. I’m obviously talking about Dragon Age: Inquisition (which released also on PlayStation 3
and Xbox 360, by the way), and so far people have been enjoying the
game a lot (myself included; look forward to our review soon).
Of course, now many gamers are curious about the next Mass Effect. Bioware started talking about it back in November 2012, when the studio announced that it would use Frostbite 3 as an engine much like Dragon Age: Inquisition, and then during E3 2014 some concept art was shown. However, details are still pretty sketchy, which is why even little rumors are coveted by the fanbase.
Insider shinobi602, who’s a big fan of Mass Effect and Bioware in general, recently dropped some hints in the dedicated next Mass Effect topic on Neogaf. He said that the game will be epic in scale, much more so than the previous games, mainly thanks to an “impressive” number of explorable planets.
shinobi has consistently revealed little tidbits of information on many other games which all proved to be true, and there is no reason to believe this case will be any different. With the upcoming The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience events, one has to wander if the reveal of the next Mass Effect isn’t closer than most would think, although it will probably happen at E3 2015 instead.

[…] However it’ll be much more open than previous ME games. The number of explorable planets they’re targeting alone is impressive to say the least. One of the new game’s core pillars is ‘epic scale’. ME1’s uncharted worlds done right: strong exploration, sense of discovery, beautiful unique lands. So many awesome additions to the formula. Moreover, when a user said that he/she hopes that the next Mass Effect won’t be a prequel, shinobi answered with a knowing smile. When further teased about the truthfulness of this, he replied “bookmark it”, showing confidence in this particular piece of information.
