2014 Is Almost Over And We're Still "Awaiting Greatness"

Hey, I didn't mind the ad. I think it was simple, direct and effective.
It's just an exciting phrase: "Greatness awaits."
Furthermore, I have absolutely no doubt that Sony will deliver the goods in 2015 and beyond. But if we're being brutally honest with ourselves, even the most ardent PlayStation follower has to admit that we are still waiting.
Sony has always defined their PlayStation brand with fantastic, next-level exclusives that make other consoles look downright archaic by comparison. Hell, just about any Uncharted in the previous generation was leaps and bounds ahead of most exclusives on other consoles. And of course, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is supposed to land next year, as is The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, and a few others. We might learn about a few more at the PlayStation Experience later this week.
It's also great that PS4 has been home to better-performing multiplatform games thus far. That part is invaluable, especially when Xbox One isn't exactly coming strong with the exclusives, either. If it's a battle of multiplats (which the console war currently is, excepting Wii U) then PS4 still has the edge. But that doesn't exemplify "greatness," right? "Greatness" is yet to come and while it will come, it's not here yet. Let's just be grown up enough to admit it.
