Just
a few moments ago, couple of Assassin's Creed Unity PS4 Pre Patch vs
Post Patch (third patch which was released yesterday) was shared by
Reddit user Derekro with a conclusion that "Graphics/Visuals" has been
downgraded by Ubisoft. But reports coming out from other users on NeoGaf
put forward an altogether different story: there is no graphics/visuals
downgrade, the patch seems to have introduced a bug in the same
location (shown in the comparison screenshots).
NeoGaf user Elios83 cross-checked the claim of Reddit user Derekro and this is what he has to say:

"Seems the patch introduced a lighting bug in that particular location, PS4 version. There are no downgrades elsewhere and the frame rate is still sub 30fps. Makes no sense at all as a downgrade since the problems weren't in a closed enviroments to being with."Another NeoGaf user kinggroin stated that Assassin's Creed Unity Xbox One version does not show any graphics/visuals downgrade whatsoever and shared the following screenshots (post patch as proof):
When asked about Assassin's Creed Unity FPS on Xbox One after Third Patch? kinggroin replied:
The frame rate outside is still shit. The crowds are still dense. What's odd is that looking at the sky or floor yields no framerate increase. In fact, the game seems locked at 24fps regardless. Before any patch, I'd usually see the game hover at 30fps.
Update:
NeoGaf user Elios83 has shared more Assassin's Creed Unity PS4 Pre Patch vs Post Patch Comparison Screenshots confirming that graphics/visuals downgrade rumor is FAKE. Check out new comparison screenshots below, Lighting is preserved in other (more intensive) areas:Before:

When asked about FPS Improvement post Third Patch for Assassin's Creed Unity? Elios83 replied:
Frame rate wise no, stil runs like shit. They fixed a few specific issues like when the frame rate dropped to 2-3 fps in Sainte Chappelle, but that was a particular issue outside the norm for the game (20-25fps) which I guess they isolated and fixed.
Fixing the frame rate in general to make it close to 30fps will require a lot of code rewriting and it's not something that they have done in patch 3. Ubisoft has really messed up with the code of this game.
Update 2:
Another set of Assassin's Creed Unity Pre vs Post Patch comparison screenshots and this time around its from PC version: "No Downgrade, just time of day also affecting lighting underground."Time of day: Afternoon.
Time of day: Dusk
